Search processes must be intuitive and the user must be able to understand the search options available at first glance.

Depending on the user’s preferences, they can configure different content search settings. They can run exact-word searches, where only the exact words entered are displayed, topic-based searches, which also include a broader list in terms of type and number of terms, or fuzzy searches, where the system uses its intelligence to interpret when a term has been mistyped, and automatically displays the search results as if the term were entered correctly.

The platform allows large-scale searches or more advanced searches by applying additional settings, for example facet filters to search by author, time period or source, among others. To make it easier to locate content, pre-defined searches based on recurring queries and own files can be established to compile specific documents or share them with other users.

Once the user has run a search, the system needs to be intelligent enough to display accurate results so that all users can locate any type of file in a matter of seconds.

With Media Cloud DAM, access to search results can be configured based on the type of preview and level of detail desired: summary view, miniature mosaic, list format (showing fully detailed information) or even the statistics for the results. Once the results are displayed, further filters can be applied to refine the search.

Through the e-Commerce platform, the outlet can capitalise on their own assets by selling content to third parties. They can configure the sale of any individual multimedia file or offer subscriptions for a specific period or by volume of files to private users or other outlets or agencies.

Media Cloud DAM ensures secure access and management of the tool via an SSL certificate. With profile or user group-based access, each user will have their access limited to the predefined features. This results in a clean interface that shows the options that are useful for each user type. These settings can be batch or each user profile can be customised, applying not only the available features but also access permissions and levels.
